Goal

The establishment of a new tradition of an annual reading of the Holocaust and Revival Haggadah. Each year, on the same date in Israel and the diaspora, like the family reading of the Passover Haggadah.

Background

The pressing need as there are fewer survivors, for an updated approach to the continued Holocaust discourse in future generations. This strengthens our deep observation of the Holocaust in the way that was perpetuated in Israel and the diaspora, the creation of focus groups, home gatherings and interviews.

Articles & Links

Collective memory is preserved and developed through ancient traditions, but they continue to develop when each generation adds its unique layer to it and interprets them according to its path. The traditions are required to keep the memory alive, and ensure that key events in the past, will not disappear in front of the present.

How We Started

For the first time, a structured story of the Holocaust and Revival which will be consistent, with emphasis on the value of the individual’s rights and acceptance of the other. Since 2010 a group of people began working together in order to understand how to achieve the goal – creating a new tradition.

Founding Friends

An eclectic group of survivors, 2nd and 3rd Generations, public and academic figures, lawyers, psychologists, people of economics, film and television professionals, PR people and more. The evidence of the existence of a broad camp of concerns for the future of the living memory, and especially the continuation of an annual Holocaust discourse in future generations.
